Queensland Theatre is committed to providing high school aged students who are interested in an arts pathway the opportunity to learn more about the day-to-day workings of the state theatre company.
Students in Years 10-12 will be able to apply for this week-long program. During the residency, students will engage with a range of departments (Marketing, Production, Programming, Development, Education, Youth and Regional Engagement) allowing them to gain the full scope of the different career pathways Queensland Theatre and the arts in general can provide. As part of the program students will also have the chance to view the matinee performance of Trent Dalton’s Boy Swallows Universe adapted by Tim McGarry, as well as participate in acting-based workshops.
