WHAT IS A SEASON TICKET?
You can purchase nine, seven, five or three plays as a season ticket – the more you buy, the more you save. Book all your preferred mainstage performance dates and times in advance and you can exchange if your commitments change. Or book into shows throughout the year when it’s convenient for you.
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE FOR SEASON TICKET BOOKINGS?
A preferential booking period of 2 weeks is available for long term renewing subscription holders (28 September, 2016). After this date, all season tickets are processed in order of receipt, with priority seating closing when single tickets go on sale.
I HAD A FULLY FLEX PACKAGE IN 2016. IS THIS STILL BEING OFFERED?
If you wish to book your subscription now, but want to choose your dates later, you can take a Fully Flex Package and redeem when you know your commitments. Please note: there is a processing fee of $25 at the time of booking. Bookings must be made via phone 1800 355 528 or email email@example.com
HOW DO I REDEEM MY TICKETS IF I HAVEN’T SELECTED MY DATES?
If you decide not to book your dates in advance, and have purchased a Fully Flex Package (9, 7 or 5 plays) you can redeem your tickets by contacting us Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm as season tickets go on sale.

Our staff will confirm your performance dates and times, seating and whether your tickets will be mailed to you (postage fee applies) or left for collection at the theatre box office. We recommend booking your plays at least two weeks in advance to avoid disappointment.
Please note: multiple passes to the same play are not permitted (e.g. a 5 Play Package entitles you to attend five different plays). There is a one-off $25 administration fee when purchasing a Fully Flex Package.
WHO QUALIFIES FOR A CONCESSION, SENIORS OR YOUTH/UNDER 30S DISCOUNT?
We offer further discounted subscriptions to Pensioners and people who hold a Health Care card or Seniors card. The card number must be provided at the time of booking. People under 30 years of age receive further discount on presentation of ID showing age when booking for selected performances.
CAN I SIT WITH MY SEASON TICKET HOLDER FRIENDS?
We always do our absolute best to seat you next to your friends, so if you want to sit together, you must book together. Please ensure you lodge your forms together and make mention of your desire to sit together in the ‘seating preferences’ section on both forms.
CAN I EXCHANGE MY TICKETS FOR ANOTHER PERFORMANCE DATE?
Season ticket holders may exchange their tickets into another performance date of the same play, up to two working days prior to the ticketed performance. Please mail or present your Season Ticket to Queensland Theatre, 78 Montague Rd, South Brisbane, QLD 4101 to make an exchange. Unless specified tickets will be held at the box office for collection. Season Ticket exchanges cannot be processed at QPAC or any other venue.
WHAT ARE THE FEES INVOLVED IN EXCHANGING PERFORMANCES?
For 9 Play Package subscribers there are no exchange fee. All other season ticket holders will be charged a $3.50 (incl. GST) administration fee for each ticket exchange, plus any upgrade costs if applicable. If you wish to have your tickets posted out to you there is a $2.95 postage fee.
WHAT IF I MISS A PERFORMANCE?
If you miss a booked performance or fail to get an exchange in on time, you can purchase new tickets at a special price of $28 (subject to availability).
WHAT IF I LOSE MY TICKETS?
We will reprint tickets for you if you misplace them. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 1800 355 528. If you wish to have them posted, a postage fee applies.
WHAT IS THE POLICY ON REFUNDS?
We follow ticketing guidelines set down by Live Performance Australia (LPA), the peak body for the live entertainment industry. All sales for subscription and single tickets are final and refunds are not available once a booking application has been received. I HAVE SPECIFIC ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS. WHAT DO I DO?
We are committed to making our productions accessible to everyone, so please let us know about your individual needs when you book or use the ‘seating preferences ‘section on our booking form. Wheelchair access and facilities are available at all theatres. Hearing enhancement systems are available in most venues and we offer an audio description at select performances in the Playhouse, for people who are blind or visually impaired. If your needs change after making your booking please contact us for assistance. Auslan Interpreted performances of Ladies in Black, Constellations, My Name is Jimi and Scenes from a Marriage are scheduled for our deaf and hearing impaired patrons. HOW DO I RECEIVE A PROGRAM?
On subscribing you can opt to have production programs emailed to you in advance. Programs are complimentary to all ticket buyers in 2017 and will be provided on entering the theatre, as well as located near the box office.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PREVIEW AND OTHER PERFORMANCES?
Previews are the performances prior to Opening Night. Actors may still be fine-tuning their performance, and on rare occasions the director may even interrupt the show to make technical or other adjustments. In almost all cases, the show will run through without any perceivable problems. Previews can give you a fascinating insight into the process of theatre making and are priced accordingly.
HOW DO I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT EACH SHOW?
Play briefings – hear from actors, directors and other creatives about what goes on behind the scenes. There is no need to book. All play briefings are held in the theatre at 6.00pm. These events are free.
