What is a Season Ticket?

A Season Ticket is a package of 8, 6, 5 or 3 plays, when you book all your performances in advance. You can save up to 35% on Single Ticket prices. You can always exchange to a new date if something comes up. Season Ticket Holders get the first pick of the best seats. Packages are available throughout the year, providing there is three or more shows remaining.

What is a Fully Flex Package? How do they work?

It’s a type of subscription where you receive vouchers now and you can book your shows later, once you know your availability. To redeem bookings, phone 1800 355 528, email sales@queenslandtheatre.com.au or via the web at www.queenslandtheatre.com.au/Tickets/Fully-Flex

Please note: there is a processing fee of $25 at the time of booking. Multiple passes cannot be used to book for the same play. We recommend you redeem your vouchers as early as you can as shows do sell out!

What discounts do we offer?

We offer Senior, Concession and 35 & Under. To qualify for each of the above discounts you will need:

  • Senior – QLD Government Seniors Card, excluded Business & National Senior Cards.
  • Concession – Pension Card, Healthcare Card, DVA Card or Full Time Student.
  • 35 & Under - Official document providing birthdate (e.g. Licence). For Senior and Concession discounts (excluding full time student) we do require your card number at the time of booking.

Please note: for Full Time Students and 35 & Under discounts we require an official document showing proof of age and/or student status at time of booking.

Can I exchange my tickets?

Season Ticket Holders may exchange their tickets up to 48 hours prior to the ticketed performance. For 8 Play Season Ticket Holders (excluding Artist Packages) there are no exchange fees. All other Season Ticket Holders will be charged a $3.50 exchange fee per ticket. All Season Ticket Holders are subject to upgrade costs if applicable.

Go to queenslandtheatre.com.au/exchanges and follow the steps to upload a picture of your ticket/s destroyed. Email sales@queenslandtheatre.com.au, attach a picture of your ticket/s destroyed and tell us your new date. Post/In Person – mail or present your ticket/s to 78 Montague Rd, South Brisbane, QLD 4101.

Please note: Season Ticket exchanges cannot be processed at QPAC or any other venue.

What is the policy on refunds?

We follow ticketing guidelines set down by Live Performance Australia (LPA), the peak body for the live entertainment industry. All sales for subscription and single tickets are final and refunds are not available once a booking application has been received. Season Tickets cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount or promotion. To read the LPA ticketing code, visit liveperformance.com.au.

What if I miss a performance?

If you miss a booked performance or fail to get an exchange in on time, you can purchase a Season Ticket replacement at a special price of $30 (subject to availability).

What is a Preview performance?

Previews are the performances prior to Opening Night. Actors may still be fine-tuning their performance, and on rare occasions the director may even interrupt the show to make technical or other adjustments. Previews can give you a fascinating insight into the process of theatre making.

Can I pay by instalment?

You sure can. Choose our Post-pay option. Make life easier - book and pay nothing upfront. You will then be charged fortnightly over eight instalments (donations, fees and gift vouchers included in first instalment).

Can I sit with friends?

If you wish to sit with a friend you must submit your forms together. If we don’t receive your forms together on the same day we cannot guarantee you will sit together. When you submit your form make sure everyone completes Step 2 and writes down all group members names.

I have specific accessibility needs. What do I do?

We are committed to making our productions accessible to everyone, so please let us know about your individual needs when you book or use the ‘seating preferences’ section on our booking form.  Wheelchair access and facilities are available at all theatres. Hearing enhancement systems are available in most venues and we offer audio description at select performances in the Playhouse and Cremorne Theatre, for people who are visually impaired. Auslan Interpreted performances are scheduled for all shows hearing impaired patrons. If your needs change after making your booking please contact us for assistance.
