In 2020, the Legal Chapter will have a new home as part of the Visionaries annual giving program. Read more about Visionaries here.
The Legal Chapter is a group of legal professionals whose love of language and theatre sustains the essential work of Queensland Theatre’s Play Commissioning Fund.
The Fund supports playwrights and encourages the development of new, ground-breaking works of theatre that are uniquely Australian. Most recently, the Chapter supported the commissioning of Sue Smith’s Hydra.
Legal Chapter members will enjoy pre-show functions and reserved seating for three productions during the 2019 Season — Death of a Salesman (21 February), Barbara and the Camp Dogs (16 May) and Storm Boy (1 August).

THE BELOVED AUSTRALIAN NOVEL GIVEN DELIGHTFUL NEW STAGE LIFE
Young Storm Boy lives a simple yet free life on the coastal wilds of the South Australian Coorong, combing the beaches with his reclusive father, Hideaway Tom.
During a long summer, he makes two friends who will shepherd him from childhood into adulthood: the jester Fingerbone Bill, who teaches him about his country; and Mr Percival, an orphaned pelican who prepares Storm Boy for the wider world with a poignant lesson about love, loss and letting go.
