Digital productions

In a first for Queensland Theatre, we are partnering with Australian Theatre Live to bring you high quality, high definition recordings of three of our productions.

These productions will each be available to watch online for one week. It’s the next best thing to taking a seat with the audience and is a perfect present for friends and family who can’t join you in Brisbane!

Praise for Taming of the Shrew

"Audience reaction: 5/5: Taming of the Shrew is beautifully filmed and recorded cinematically with considered use of the camera capturing the all-important chemistry between the leading players. The sound design by Tony Brumpton is outstanding and captured crystal clear. Close-ups of the actors are seamlessly integrated with long-shots of the ensemble cast, clever moveable sets and stylish lighting." — Stage Whispers

Play Club

Our popular Play Club digital readings continue in 2021, with six events live streamed via Zoom on select Tuesdays at 7.30pm throughout the year. Plays and casts will be announced closer to the event dates.

16 February / 23 March / 20 April / 8 June / 3 August / 26 October

How does it work?

Play Club events are streamed live via the Zoom webinar platform. You’ll receive an access link prior to the event and can watch the reading on a computer, tablet or mobile device. Viewers are not visible to the actors or other audience members. There will be an interactive Q&A following the reading where you can post questions to the cast. Play Club is open to anyone, anywhere around the world, but isn’t recorded for later viewing, it’s a completely live event.
