QTC and Lexus of Brisbane Begin a Journey Together
At Queensland Theatre Company, we believe the magic of theatre lies in its ability to transport us — to take us somewhere new, to spark imagination, and to leave us with memories that last. All feeling, no filter. That’s why we’re so delighted to welcome Lexus of Brisbane as our new Program Partner in a three-year partnership built on the shared philosophy to Experience Amazing.
From the craftsmanship of a finely tuned performance to journeys that explore new worlds or bring you home – together we are about creating experiences that feel special. For Lexus Encore members, that will now extend beyond the road, with opportunities to step behind the curtain, meet artists and enjoy theatre in new and surprising ways.
Queensland Theatre Company CEO, Criena Gehrke, said the partnership felt like a natural alignment. “Queensland Theatre Company and Lexus of Brisbane both care deeply about the quality of an experience — how it makes you feel, what you take away, and the connections it sparks. Together, we can create unforgettable moments for audiences and customers. We’re so excited to begin this journey together.”
The partnership also embraces the future, with the support of Sci-Fleet Motors, the parent company of Lexus of Brisbane. Their contribution will ensure our artists can travel safely across Queensland to deliver The Scene Project, our education program that inspires young people to create, collaborate and tell their own stories.
For Lexus of Brisbane, the partnership is a way of extending their ethos of luxury, imagination and care into the cultural heart of the state. Sales Manager Peter Thomas explained, “At Lexus of Brisbane, we want our customers to Experience Amazing not just on the road, but in all the moments that matter. Partnering with Queensland Theatre Company allows us to share that spirit of creativity and discovery. We can’t wait for our Encore members to feel the same excitement we do when the lights go down and the curtain rises.”
And for Sci-Fleet Motors, it’s about nurturing the next generation. Allison Scifleet said, “In my own family I’ve seen first-hand the impact an education in theatre can have during their school years and how the tools stay with them well beyond. The Scene Project is all about giving young people the confidence to explore their creativity. Helping Queensland Theatre Company safely bring that experience to schools and communities across the state is something we’re proud to support. “
Together, Queensland Theatre Company, Lexus of Brisbane and Sci-Fleet Motors are excited about a partnership that’s about creating moments that move people.
