Artists are at the heart of Queensland Theatre. We recognise that the career pathways and aspirations of theatre-makers are as diverse as the artists themselves and our constantly evolving community.
Queensland Theatre has always been proud to offer responsive opportunities and practical support for artists including access to our rehearsal spaces, advice about a project, letters of support, and attending productions.
Artists are encouraged to register with us to learn about general auditions and other opportunities with Queensland Theatre, including our ongoing Artist Conversation series with Artistic Director, Lee Lewis.
DOOR 3
DOOR 3 is an annual entry-point for three Queensland-based theatre collectives to stage three bold and blistering independent theatre works in three sharp seasons in the Diane Cilento Studio.
Queensland Premier’s Drama Award
Since 2002, Queensland Theatre, in partnership with the Queensland Government, has been inviting playwrights to put a new Australian work on our stage through this unique competition which culminates in a world premiere season of the winning entry.
