Bernhardt/Hamlet

Following the vivid real-life backstage story of Sarah Bernhardt, Bernhardt/Hamlet is a fast-moving, audacious comedy about a 19th century woman issuing a challenge to the system that still resonates today. Acting great Sarah Bernhardt plans to take on the title role in Shakespeare’s Hamlet, but will this bold plan be her legacy, or her folly?

From 28 May to 18 June in the Bille Brown Theatre.
